Clover is a filly we felt strongly about from the beginning because her pedigree combines proven rodeo performance with the kind of size, athleticism, and maternal power we value in a future ranch mare.
Purchased from Lemhi Quarter Horses alongside Cricket, Clover immediately stood out to us as the kind of mare that could bring both substance and performance genetics into our program.
Her sire combines generations of proven arena horses through Sawyer Wood and the legendary Miss Turkey Wood — bloodlines known for producing versatility, speed, trainability, and winners across the roping pen and barrel arena. From futurity champions to PRCA money earners and NFR influence, the consistency behind that side of her pedigree is hard to ignore.
On the bottom side, Clover carries strong Wyoming Blanton and Lucky Blanton influence through Red Mark Blanton, a proven rope horse sire that produced over $300,000 in arena winners while earning extensively himself in roping and barrel racing competition. Her maternal side also traces to Frostys Tops, one of the great NFR heading horse sires whose influence continues to show up throughout the rodeo world today.
What we especially appreciate about Clover’s pedigree is that it combines proven performance with the kind of practical, durable foundation blood that still matters in real horses. Big, athletic horses with good minds, substance, and enough versatility to go in multiple directions.
Clover is athletic, willing, and naturally classy without losing substance. She’s the kind that carries herself with presence but still feels practical — the type we believe real cowboys appreciate.
Good horses start with good mares, and we believe Clover has the pedigree, mind, and upbringing to become exactly that.
